LO3 Information System (IS)

This topic is new topic for me. In this topic I have learned a lot of thing about information system (IS). IS is a set of elements or components including inputs, processing mechanism, outputs and feedback. Example module of IS is input is data which is raw facts will process to become output is information. Computer base information system is a combination of hardware, software, telecommunication networks that people build and use to collect, create, distribute data or information in an organization or in order word is software-based solution used to gather and analyze information.
There are five types of computer base information system such as transaction processing system (TPS), decision support system (DSS), expert system (ES), management information system (MIS), executive support system(ESS).

This system commonly use in business organisation.Management structure and their information needs is operational same with low level, tactical same with middle manager and strategic same with top manager. User in business organization is people, worker and end user. Component of computer base information system are producer, telecommunication, database, software, hardware and people. Information system need input devices, processing device, output devices and storage devices.i I also learned application software. Application software consists of programs designed to make users more productive and/or assist with personal tasks. Programing language is very important for a programmer to communicate with a computer. Strategies, policies, methods and rules for using computer information system including operation, security and maintenance of the computer. In this topic learned more about information system.
